The Official Rocket Across America IV Thread

Well . . Deb and I just pulled in. 10 and a half hours home. It rained for about an hour on the way home and then slowly started to clear up. Ran into rain again about an hour from home. To everyone . . THAT WAS FUN!!

For those that could not attend . . some memorable quotes:

You got a wrench? I can fix it. (Daryl)

**** . . that rabbit can jump. (JDuke)

Whaddaya mean I was only doing 120? (Lonzol)

You were doing 62 (on the dragon) (The cop that wrote baggage1 the ticket)

Really? . . cool. (Baggage1)

YOU!! BACK OFF!! (Stripes)

Look . . my arm is working better already **lifting beer** (Tony Mac)

And then the Koala Bear said to the Alligator, how much did you drink? . . . (HeR3tic)

There were many, many more but . . . these were some classics.

I have to say I really had a GREAT time!

Wow, what a long day...

Left out of Maggie Valley at 8am in a downpour. The strategy was to go west on I-40 and get on the back side of the front while going north on I-81. Strategy worked with getting out of the rain while still on I-40. The sun broke through about Lexington, VA but it was very, very cold. Pulled in the garage at 5:45pm.

I certainly enjoyed meeting everyone and a special thanks to our hosts, Ron and Gabby, for going above and beyond to make this an enjoyable weekend. I'm looking forward to the next get together.

btw, us129photos.com has pictures posted on the dragon. There are some awesome darkside pics, especially Wilber-t's. There's also a great pic from behind that has Wilber-t and Lisa together.

Still in route home, despite the rain and the unfortunate accident I think RAA IV was a success. Could not resist, my wife and I went out for about 5 hrs today exploring new ride routes. It was nice to meet eveyone and I am looking forward to attending many more of these in the future.. Katie and I have met a lot of people riding over the past couple of years and we agree that you all are the most fun to ride and party with. Thanks for making RAA IV a success. You guy & gals ROCK
