Under the sump I assume just to raise her up a bit and extend the length. I was thinking of buying a hydraulic lift but from what I've read I'd need some sort of adapted plate plus it's rather large to store.

Suspend the rear from a tree or garage rafter....
I have done mine one at a time and just using a small trolley jack under the bike to adjust height

Yep ratchet strap and a rafter would work well. I used that method until I hung the chain fall and trolley in the basement.

I did it alone in a slanted drive way with only a bottle jack and two wrenches...

It's really not that hard. Use the kick stand on one side and jack on the other side using the frame as a lift point to create a sort of "center stand" effect it will lift the back up enough to get shocks on/off safely. The tire doesn't need to leave the ground, only enough extension to wiggle your shocks on/off.

Literally a 30 minute job alone with 2 wrenches and a jack.

ONE SIDE AT A TIME! Put a rubber band around the front brake lever to stop the bike from rolling forward.

30 minutes, that would be taking it easy. I have to remove my shocks every time I want to remove my seat. I have the Maverick Low rider, it bolts on from underneath. There isn't enough room to get to it so now I put a trolley jack under the rear of the sump, give a few pumps until the pressure is removed from the shocks and unbolt them. 5 minute removal and same to refit both.

Fitted the Hagon Nutros today with a bit of help from her indoors. Didn't take that long.
Went out for a 90 mile ride this afternoon of mixed riding and wow what a difference. A brilliant bike had been made even better.

Once and a while above 160 mph depending on conditions. It is just a safety precaution. Well that and it is a safety regulation on some courses So I thought I would have a go at fitting one since one of my bikes is torn down at the time. I am trying to find something that does not lift the bars as much as the rivco risers do. This raises the bars 1. 015 "
