Suspension on a Roadster

160 mph....Ha No wonder I have not experienced any head shake!
Ya it can get harry there right after you shift into 4th and give her the snot.

I also am thinking on the highway with my suspension work and the damper at a low setting the hydraulic fluid movement might just improve the feel of the bike. Who knows it is just a experiment. If it does not work or help any I am only out scrap metal for now. The damper was sent to me by the GPR engineer to do the mock up before I spend the cash. I am thinking it is going to be a plus Or at least hoping :)

So... is GPR going to do kits then if you send them the measurements for the metal?

Any chance you could post the dimensions on the base plate of it?

I am not sure they have not said either way. Once I get her done I will finish a drawing, I am thinking of changing it and trying a mount that has the lower handle bar riser and mount in one.

Just been researching into shocks and there are 3 trains of thought.

1 The Wilbers may be the best but they're very expensive.

2 Progressive springs seem very good. The choice appeared to be 440s but they've now been superceeded by the 444s. They also make a 430 which is an improvement over stock and 25% cheaper than the 444.

3 Hagon Nitros seem to get good reveiews and are the cheapest of them all but on a 4 week delivery as made to order.

Not being Mr Rossi, I'm thinking as I'm quite happy with the stock suspension but found it could be improved upon, the Hagons should be more than up to the job or do I spend more and go for the 430 or even more and get the 444?

It's obviously a personal choice. I have had the Hagons and now Wilbers, I hated the standard shocks but about we member here has them on his standard and is pleased with them. I suspect I did not have them set up correctly tho....

Riders weight seems to be a deciding factor in how well the Roadster shockies work. Hagons and Gazi's I had on my bike were just too harsh solo , even at the lowest setting. The blokes I sold them to are happy with them but both are heavier than I am. Most of the blokes I've ridden with that are under 100 kilos weight are happy enough with the Roadster shockies.

Well, I've made my mind up and bought a pair of Hagon Nitros.

I was discussing which finish to have i.e. end caps as they all have "chrome" springs when the guy said to bear with him for a minute and when he came back he said he had some limited edition black springs if I was interested. He sent me a picture to be sure and I've gone for those.

Next question. Only having a side stand is it possible to swap them out one side at a time or not?

You will need someone to lift up on the luggage rack while you pull and swap one side at a time if they are the same length.
