If you take it apart be very careful not to lose the spring. It will jump out. Clean the contacts, put it back together.
 
if it clicks it is not the
starter switch
kickstand switch
clutch switch

if it doesn't click it might be
starter switch
kickstand switch
clutch switch (can hold the starter button in while letting clutch to check)
blown fuse
bad ignition switch
bad relay
ect

Going to also check out repair disks that I bought a couple yrs back.(glad I did)
 
Welp put New starter motor on,still had one click but no starter,decided before I tare into starter switch,check all connections, positive batterie cable snug and moved,so went tightened it,NOW Ihave nothing when push swich,I am going to dive into the switch next,love electrical fun🙃

After that found out my bran new AGM Battery was down to 60%,now charging with my digital AGM charger,now waiting

It might be a stupid suggestion, but make sure the engine cut-off switch didn't get bumped and isn't causing you an issue. If it's anything like the fog-lights switch... it's sketchy even in the "on" position. Of course, we're not suppose to use that switch on our R3's and in fact, I stopped using it on all of our bikes.
