Starter Relay Location Question?

I could go make a color copy of the wiring diagram and legend and send it to you if you would like.

I am becoming more inclined to agree with you, Ygransom, that the relay on the right side is the starter relay and that the turn signals are controlled in some manner other than a relay. What looks like a relay under tank could be a diode pack even though it's mounting, size and shape resembles the other relays. I understand the function of what a diode does, but how it relates to the circuit is not clear. In any event, that's where I am leaving it.

You're too kind, but I won't put you through the trouble. I do appreciate the offer though. I think I have poured over this topic more than I should have. I have a tendency to want to know as much as possible about what I ride. For me, it just helps if you have a problem. I will probably wire in the EB relay for the headlights in the spring and I already have a spare throttle grip. If I change my mind on the diagram and legend I'll let you know. Thanks again!

I think it is one of the 4 on the right. That is the only thing that has been a major problem on my bike. I thought it was the starter, it wasn't, switch checked good, it was one of the relays that I had to replace to get it starting correctly. I now carry two now and have not had that problem since

Good to know...Now that you carry two, you should never have another problem. Here is where the manual got me questioning about relays and locations. Roadster and touring reference from the 2007 PDF manual. The picture says it all. This must be a misprint in the manual for the rocket touring.
