U do not need a service plan to go online to down load the app from tuneecu
Several years ago it was $11.00
If the switch works i wonder if that will let gas gauge work with out clearing codes?

The gas gauge came back to life once down the road. Also, the roughness I was feeling at lower RPMs is gone. No need for a new one (yet), but that missing screw is likely to make the problem reappear.

It appears that the screws are identical- makes it easy....

You may know this answer. I'm a Mac guy, but have an old PC laptop that I've used for TuneEcu. I hear that you need an Android, maybe ?, for the new bikes. I've been thinking about finding an old Android device that, if I could somehow load TuneEcu on I could use instead. I don't want another phone on my plan though. Do you , or anyone have any ideas on this? I might ought to create a new thread for this, but here's a try, for now....

you need either of 2 things

1. Tuneecu android app ( around 35usd basic version) + Bluetooth OBD2 link MX+ adapter from amazon (130usd) + Android phone or Tablet ( $$ )

OR

2. Dealertool UK software (Windows version only) + OBD2 cable. Both are approximately 120USD

With Dealertool you can a lot of maintenance on Triumph motorcycles while Tuneecu app is more focused on flashing ECU on motorcycles.

Has anyone experienced any engine stalling issues? At times when slowing to a stop in 1st gear, clutch fully pulled in and having completed a proper rev match before downshifting to 1st ( I don't have a quickshifter installed), the engine will stall. I mentioned it to the tech when I just had it in for the 600 mile service and he mentioned there was an update he installed but had no idea what it's purpose was. He mentioned that most Triumph's have some kind of update at the 1st service. He wasn't able to replicate the stall and I can't replicate myself when trying....it's just a very intermittent nuisance
This "problem" was always present since new and happens very rarely.....maybe one out of 20 times when coming to a full stop I have approx. 700 miles on the odometer.

I‘ve had exactly the same from first ride out brand new

I experienced this issue and it turned out my gas cap was not fully closed. It solved the problem just making sure the cap is closed until it clicks

I had this problem 3 times in the same place always in first at walking pace full tank of fuel , home is up hill and a slow wind ride up to home.
A up couple of s bends this single track road is used by all so slowly slowly ,as I said all up hill the 3rd time this happened in first at walking pace it happened it stalled / cut out on the first bend not enough momentum to keep it moving put my leg out bike went over.
I laid under my GT for 5/10 mins before my shouts could be heard my leg was crushed no bones broken a lot of damage was done new tank bars clutch and gear assembly heated grip , i think my leg saved even more damage .
We got it upright feeling gutted I rode it the rest of the way home, about 2 hundred yards I rang the dealer total triumph taunton UK.
I dont know if there is an issue but they triumph just said we'll take it away dont worry we'll look after you !.
After a few days worrying how much is this going to cost me I get a call to say we have found a fault, well we triumph are calling it a fault one of the spark plug caps wasnt snapped down on to the plug top and as these are under the fuel tank this wasnt done properly at the factory so no charge bike came back like new again .

some people claiming to have this fixed. it happens usually when you coasting to a red light or so, as soon as you pull the clutch in while bike in gear, engine shuts off instantly while ignition remain ON but since its happening with brand new bike so the solution they provided are useless as they only apply to bikes with good mileage on odometer.

I have had it happen maybe 15 times the first 2 years I had my Rocket. I felt like me 'revving' the engine as I downshift coming to a stop at a light or sign may contribute to the stalling issue. Using the engine to help slow. I picked up this habit having owned 3 Harleys as I enjoyed hearing the exhaust note. Anyway I decided to stop revving the engine as I down shifted and when in the area of 10-15 mph just pull in the clutch and stop normally. I have not stalled since then. About 6 months ago I decided to try to stall it coming up to stop signs by revving as I downshifted. It did indeed stall on the 10th stop sign so it took 10 tries but it stalled. This may just be my Rocket but I don't rev/throttle up coming to a stop and I also don't stall anymore. Just a thought.

It happened to me on Friday. My observations are that when the temperature below 16C it happens. It was cooler on Friday when it happened.
