Smartphone mount options

I have a cheap waterproof case attached to the LHS of the bar but would like something that will sit in behind the sport screen (just above the gauges). Safer option IMO. It is for a 5" NAVMAN GPS that links via BTooth to my SENA-3SWB. Looks like the RAM products are the go. I organise random rides for a bunch of mates here on the NSW South Coast, AUS and the GPS is a godsend for me. Has anyone got a similar setup and some pics that show how you have mounted your GPS or phone behind the screen? To suit an 06 Classic.

RAM X here as well, if you get creative with mounting you can tuck it in behind the flyscreen, where the key is and it won't get wet at all.
That's what I want to do.... tuck it in behind my flyscreen. Do you have any mounting recommendations?

The older guys here would probably hate me but yeah I have 3 mounts on the front of my bike. One on the left handlebar for a 5" Garmin GPS, one in the middle for a 5.5" Android GPS/Speedometer readout and on the right handlebar I have my Iphone 4S setup for music and communications. Most people comment that my bike has more gadgets then their car. I'm a nerdy techy guy so this all comes natural. Using my SENA bluetooth headset I can press the phone button and have SIRI do things for me that I can't do with my hands like make calls, add events to my calendars, set reminders ETC.. its really great.
@richochet, how do you do your mount in the center. I'm trying to figure a way to mount my device behind my flyscreen

Remember, I'm not mounting my smartphone for calling/texting or even using the GPS. I want it mounted where visable so I can monitor TuneECU while riding. I think some of you old dudes are reading way too much into this.

Settling on Ram Mounts but not sure exactly where/how to mount. I noticed there are two bolts just under the gauge pods which might make a good mounting point if I can find a mounting base that would work. Otherwise I think a round bar mount system might be best.

This fits where you wanted (6 months ago I know but anyway).

I got mine for the 07-09 and Roadster from his non-ebay website where everything is cheaper with cheaper postage as well..
