Sluggish Idle after bike heats up...

Unchecked O2 box 100% prevents closed loop. I have a strong suspicion the lopey hot start idle comes from ignition timing advance not fueling. I have tried many things to eliminate it, and the only things that's nearly eliminated it with O2 turned off is I(map) table adjustments.

Going to try turning it on, and installing the PC-V 02 simulator and see what effect that has.

i have never had experience with the pc-v o2 simulator i would assume it makes small voltage can u tell me more.

The O2 bypass I have is simply a plug with jumpers that fool the ECU into thinking everything is lean as it needs to be. So it can be rich as you want and the ECU won't care.

all of my playing around is on cars. and if u jumper the 02 sensor that would signal the ecu that there was a shorted 02 sensor and then the ecu then substitute a voltage value sometimes of .45 volts as an average. just a little lean with the fine tuning.

As I understand the O2 simulator, it sinks the heating circuit using a high rated resistor to dissipate the heating amperage into a safe heat level. For the sensor values fed to the ECU, if I recall correctly there is a fixed resistor inside the o2 simulator that is specifically designed to trick the ecu into reading exactly the perfect afr at all times, preventing short or long term trims, as rocketkohn describes.

If you know ohms law and own a multimeter you can build your own for about $5.00

A poorly positioned or defective IAT sensor (Intake Ambient Temperature) could be a cause...

that is what i thought if it did not have the resister the ecu would think the 02 sensor would have an open and set a code with check eng light on.
this might be great for racing but for me cracking the throttle once and a while i prefer to just change settings above 3500rpm and keep the 02.

Apparently the Triumph tech wants to remote in to the dealer and check the bike remotely as the Reading they sent for review do not make any sense. Still more waiting. Now triumph support is the long pole in the tent...

If the o2 is disabled via TuneECU, it doesn't even power on the heater circuit.


Doesn't make sense is progress, from don't know what's wrong
