Hi There I cut 7 mm off my side stand with a battery grinder with a 1mm cutting disc and it made quite a difference when parked I did this while the stand was on the bike and the bike was on a trolley jack
Kind Regards
Mark
Did you do anything to broaden the base (already fairly small)? In hindsight, was 7mm about right- go less or more? Thanks

Hi There 7 mm was what i cut off but if i had to do it again i would cut off 6 mm and i didnt make the foot any bigger and have had no problems .The bike sits alot better now and wont look like it is going to blow over .

Glad to have your advice. I would have taken off a lot more. My geometry skills were never that good. I've been meaning to do this for a long time....

The side stand keeping the bike too upright is something us Hayabusa owners have suffered from, there is a cheap and cheerful mod where by you remove a couple of mm where the stand meets the bracket. Side Stand mod I've had a quick look at my Rocket GT, it certainly looks doable.
