Not only are they expensive they are ugly. Looks like the design requires the awful tail tidy and what does the scaffolding look like to support them? I will pass on these and wait to see what other companies will offer.
the straps are kept long so you can loosen them, put a jacket or aroll bag on top of the bag then cinch down the strap again. This is designed like this because the bags are not very big.
I dont mean to be picky but ive looked at your brackets for your bags. I think the way you have mde them if your 2 up and go over some had bumps the rear whell will hit them. I made mine similar to the Triumph ones made them from stainless. I sweped them away so there is no way the tyre will hit them.....

I have the same Leatherworks bags on my Roadster. The extra length of the straps can be folded under the bag and slid into a fastener designed to hold them. Been using mine like that for years.
Take a peek under the bags to see where the straps can be slipped into place.
