Rockets Across America III

Yeah, my parents live just north of Pine Bluff. Their place is literally about 4 or 5 miles off of the interstate. I'm planning on leaving early Thursday and riding to their house. It's about a 8-9 hour drive via car so I assume it'll take around 11 or so via bike (more stops). Anyway, it'll give me a chance to visit with them for the night. ES is around 220 miles from their place.

I was thinking that if the group is coming through that way on Friday (and they will if they take the direct route, via Mobile, Jackson, Vicksburg, etc...), I could meet up with them then. If everyone is interested, my folks house could be a nice stop for a few minutes, or I could just meet somewhere else.

Also, as I said before, anyone interested in leaving early is welcome to join me and we can crash at my folk's place for Thursday night.

...by way of Mobile to Hattiesburg, spend the night somewhere between there and Jackson, continue the next day to ES by way of Vicksburg and Little Rock. The new route appears to be only 683 miles. If others want to leave earlier they are welcome to do so, I can't leave till 5 pm. If I'm by myself I may travel a little further Thursday night than I am planning for right now.

Flip, which one is the aspiring vagrant???

Just because I will be sleeping under my bike Flip no need to call me names.

Sleeping under the Rocket and waking up in the morning could be a life changing experience. Could you imagine opening your eyes and looking directly into the sump pan.....would be like waking up and staring at a waffle iron.................

I HATE to say it, but I'm going to half to back out. Recent financial constraints prevent me from spending the few hundred bucks to make the Eureka Springs trip from here in Cincinnati.

Maybe next year.

Thanks,
Big Del

Not sure we can afford to have another one at the rate of fuel prices. They seem to have dropped a dime per gallon but that is probably just to get us ready for the next increase. Glad these bikes get 40mpg.
