I've actually glued a leather patch over the melted part of my winter pants. Got an off-cut from a local cobbler; cost nothing.

My little sis has a leather business and makes everything fur and leather.
A patch to repair my Dickie is indeed in order. For future riding, I reckon a leather legging of sorts.
I be researching that now.

I was told that it's actually the other way round .. black ceramic coating runs a tad cooler than silver or lighter colours. Bloke that told me has been building m/cycle exhausts for 25+ years.
