Rocket III parts availability

Greetings all,

I have purchased RIIIT couple years ago and i love this bike! Can't complain on anything apart from couple minor hiccups.. However, recently i noticed that I start to think more and more about this bike sustainability in the future. Ideally, i wanted to drive at least 50k km on this (drove c.a 10k already), but I am afraid that in a couple years time I won't be able to find even essentials for this bike..

What are your thoughts on this? Is Triumph still supporting this bike after years of discontinuation? Not a lot of stores seem to have items in stock for this bike either..

P.S. I understand that this model is somewhat reliable, but man..when it had arrived 2 years ago it was missing a mounting bracket for turning signal I had to search in several countries before i found a store selling it (was last in stock at the time)

It's definitely a problem with older bikes, especially ones that weren't big sellers, not enough out there for an aftermarket to exist.

Am in the same boat brother... although motor and services parts should continue to be had just about anywhere... the accessories market is sure slim to none.. guess I may have to manufacture my own add-ons like I did with my 97 Honda FrankenWing (97, 99, 79, 81, 2000 Honda, Yamaha and Harley parts)

Finding anything other than “standard” service parts are a nightmare to find sadly.

i recently bought a crashed '07 Touring (People tell me it's an 08, but compliance plate says otherwise. . . ) and getting things like Forks, Radiators, etc has been a real challenge.
I'm just 'lucky' some guy a few hours away from me has a rear-ended '07 that I'm going to buy some parts off this weekend..... taking my toolbox and cash and going a bit nuts

Also bought a Chinese alloy radiator as a 'backup' because it seems that these are unobtanium unless you want to spend $750+ AUD for one.

Luckily, i've managed to gather the majority of the other bits and pieces from my 'parts box' from years of modifying and repairing older bikes.
