Been there, done some of that. When people tell me riding motorcycles is dangerous I just laugh

I've heard that countless times, like to remind them we could die, crossing the street, falling off a barstool, or taking a dump. Id rather die from living.

Glad to hear you are well enough after that mess . I've had my share of repairs at hospitals, the bike was expendable. I sometimes ride with a pack for fundraising events but always take the tail with the other old timers Sounds like you will make a full recovery. Even mentally

I hear ya, but I do want to clarify that I didn't make the statement "When people tell me riding motorcycles is dangerous I just laugh" to mean that I take it lightly, w/o respect to the bike and my surrounding circumstances. I've had major reconstructive surgery on both knees (separately) from m/c's - rotator cuff from mountain bike, neck fusion from ??? ect, ect - So I'm not making light of what happened to Mike (Glad your ok Mike!), but more so that having a bad off doesn't shut down most peoples will to continue enjoying life.
Getting back on the horse that threw ya is living life free of fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

P.S. has anyone really ever died taking a dump?
or did you mean dumping their bike?

Glad to here your OK and have the trophy. How do your buddies take the 'Union Jack' helmet on an American Legion Flag waving event? I suppose it wasn't a 'Rising Sun' and it has been a while now since 'The War of Independence'.

My buddy wears a Capt America helmet so we kind of add some color to the sea of black helmets. Plus I figure it shows a bit of class amongst the HD's, the old in your face its a Rocket, but politely.

Yes, people do die on the toilet. I was a Firefighter/medic for 30 years and I more then once dealt with people in that circumstance. I believe the term is 'vagal out', it has to do with the heart rhythm and straining. You basically give yourself a heart attack straining. Just relax and let it happen.

Let me say thanks for all of the kind words and thoughts. I am off to my family Dr this AM so he can poke and prod and tell me how lucky I am, and lose some weight and all the other stuff they do. I can not hit like on every post but it is appreciated.
