Rocket 3 discontinued (fails emissions tests)

BillyIndiana was at a recent bike show and he was asked for his input on a potential 2500 triple from Triumph. See his post in "It's a Secret!!!"

Quote
"It had 2498 cc
It had 170 HP
It had an inline engine
It came in a sport touring and roadster version.
Rocket was not an option for a name for this project."

Maybe the Rocket is on the way out, but if this is going to be it's replacement, then I'm in.

Just been to my dealer (Destination Triumph, Fareham in the UK).... He said that the Rocket 3 and some other Triumph bikes fail the Euro (4 ?) emissions tests... so the bike is no longer in production!!

(I had the 2005 rocket for 40,000 miles and the 2011 roadster fo r 20,000...both trouble free)

(the Triumph Trophy which I now have ...also fails the tests).

My dealer about says that the Roadster that he has in stock is the last one off the production line. Price is 13,900 pounds. Picture is attached of it.

Funny I was just in Bill Smith Triumph and there was a Roadster there, which they didn't waste any time in telling me that this is the last one....

MORE FAIRY TALES FROM PETER PAN

In typical fashion, dealers are just trying to leverage the pending cancellation to make them more attractive, I hope no one falls for that crap.

There a new one at a dealers on Ebay uk right now....I reckon more will appear from the investment buyers who have seen prices may not be as high as expected in the future and will start off loading into the market..
