Roadster rear shocks upgrade?

I'm getting sick of being kicked out of the seat when hitting rough road patches and potholes at speed , and despite trying all the adjustments on the Roadster shocks, it's just too harsh for me. I want some better damping and softer springs to soak up the bumps better. Even after 9000miles it's not stopped annoying me, solo and 2-up.
So anyone got any ideas? Here in the UK the two options I'm thinking might suit are Hagon Nitros or Fournales Magnums but neither are cheap, so i'd like to hear from anyone who's had the same problem and sorted it. I'm 13 st and my wife's 10st. (180lbs and 140lbs)

The front end's not too bad for now but no doubt could be improved too.

For what it's worth, I have a 2011 and a 2016 Roadster. The new shocks are very good in my opinion compared to the earlier version which I agree are harsh. Perhaps some late model take offs?

I have a 16 and no longer like the rear shocks. While great on straight smooth roads, at the three sisters ride last week I could definitely tell they are not a good all purpose shock and will be changing them out in the near future.

Yep, this is why I now dislike them.

If you live in the US, Progressive 444 are a pretty good alternative. They have automatic dampening and continuous adjustable preload. You can work it out with Progressive whether you should have regular or HD springs. And they're guaranteed for life. I think.

I wonder what length they would be rated at (12.5"/13.5") if they where screwed down on the spring. It would make it stiffer but you have all those 32 adjustments to compensate that I would think...

My experience has been to go no shorter than 12.5 inches and a little more height would be better if you have the inseam to handle it, which at 29" I don't.

Yes I have 11 1/2" 440s im thinking of changing to 13 or 13 1/2 those EMC might be my answer...
