Roadster Questions

Thanks for the replies
I must say that going by my butt dyno it didn't feel much different
Also I rode a 2012 model which probably still had the restrictor on the first 3 gears.
I believe the new model as this removed..can anyone tell me if this makes a big difference..i know a lot of you guy's have done this mod.

At the end of the day its really irrelevant they have the same donk in them and no one leaves the things stock so I dont think it matters which one has more from factory . Your gonna bring it home throw the pipes in the dumpster change the intake do this and that and tune to suit probably with pcv if the new ecu is locked .wont be any different to an earlier model its the same engine its all in the tune they use and exhaust/intake ect . Just buy it and do your own mods then ride the bastard

Well my 2013/2014 Roadster is just about run-in now with 2K on the clock, and since this is my 6th Rocket spanning 05,06,07,09,11, and now late 13 models, I think I can speak with some authority.
Riding position - I like it, even though I am 6' 3" tall, I like the mid mount pegs for spirited riding in the hills but I will put some crash bars and highway pegs on for the longer straight boring sections of highways.
Handle Bars - Far superior, this is the first Rocket that I wont be putting T Bars on as I like the bars as they are.
Gearbox - No comparison, these gearboxes change gear a lot better, smoother than any other Rocket I have owned.
Finish - I love the way Triumph has removed the protective film over the alloy triple clamps and rims, far easier to look after and keep shiny. The new blacked out color scheme I love, and is the reason I ordered one when I saw the skunk color scheme when they were first released to the media.
Power & Torque - Since all my previous Rockets have been De-restricted and worked on to some degree, it is harder to work out the real benefits of the new models de-restrictions have had. It feels a lot smoother and gruntier than a restricted model, and this is the first stock Rocket that I have owned that will power wheelie in 1st, so the de-restrictions have worked.

Overall, I love it.

I kept the magazines I read when I was looking at the Rocket just had to find them.
