Well i can now join the ranks of the crashed captains. I haven't seen the bike yet but this is what i know. Pretty much I remember riding past whistlin jacks on 410 then going back to whistling jacks In the back of a jeep. The officer who gave me the wheels off roadway ticket told me I was going about 65mph and I flew about 100ft before hitting a tree that was laying over. Other than that I don't remember I have pretty severe road rash on my lower back but I've been discharged with stable vitals and a good ct scan

Indeed though I'm really sore I remember a little bit now. I hit some loose gravel. I lost control, the bike left the roadway on it's side in the air somehow it must have landed before I did

Whats a "wheels off the roadway" ticket? is he saying you went off the road into the gravel, so now to add insult to injury you get a ticket?

Oops! forgot to add Glad your Ok!

Well a ticket is nothing compared to loss of life or limb.
Glad your ok and hope the bike makes a good recovery as well....

Holy cr@p, sorry to hear this. If I can do anything for you, give me a call (378-4910).
How far past Whistling Jack did you get before the sh!t hit the fan? I was just up there a few weeks ago.

In a way it's really reassuring to know you're OK after what sounds like a horrible crash. Same with TOMCAT. You both got away with it - shudder to think how bad it could have been. Thoughts with you for a full recovery and that you get the bike sorted quickly.
