Richard TTS Tune Launched - 186bhp at wheel with tune

That’s humorous, uploading and downloading someone else’s file is really all that is being discussed
You are right about this! However , everything started on Richard 's map and on the excellent results he has had . Then the doubt only arose whether this is feasible on all models, and this through my fault led to the discussion on other tuners and other systems. I should have created a new thread for those interested in modifying the new Rocket 3 R models

Got my R to the dyno tuner today...2023 model with 2000km on the clock, baseline on the dynojet was 140hp @ 6500 RWHP , after loading
penners tune and some tweaking to improve AFRs, final run was 168 RWHP @ 6500, redline limit is 7400 rpm and top speed restriction is removed,
as are the throttle position table restrictions.
Bike felt noticeably smoother and definitely more responsive for the 15 percent HP gain, on my 100km ride home

no, there is no problem loading any map on newer rockets on top of that there is no problem with penner map at all. Thousands have done it on newer rockets. I am in to tuneecu group and I see people press buttons on apps which they shouldnt.

its very easy process unless someone does something very wrong.

I've answered your statement before. You are saying that anyone who has a problem with the install is doing something "very wrong" and I'm going to, once again, take issue with that.

I've been using TuneECU for years (2011 Roadster) without incident, yet on my 2020 3R I encountered a problem. Was it me? Did the battery voltage drop despite being on the charger? Did I get a counterfeit OBDLink Bluetooth LX off Amazon? Or, was it just a random grimlin? Who the Fu¢k knows.

I would caution you against guaranteeing that with your help it will go flawlessly, or that anyone who runs into trouble is at fault. Yes, thousands have loaded Penners tune, and other tunes, into their Rockets without issue. Chances are excellent, statistically, that will be your experience, as well, if you are reading this and considering it.

I did finally get his tune loaded in my bike and I'm VERY happy with it (I have given the fist bump to Penner here many many times and appreciate the gift), but what I will not tell someone is that there is a 100% guarantee that because I've done it that it will go well for you (this is a ECU thing, btw, nothing to do with Penner's tune). That would be irresponsible. Likewise, I would not say with 100% certainty that just because the technique I used to recover the ECU worked for me that if you run into trouble it will definitely work for you, or that if it doesn't it's because YOU must have, therefore, "pushed a wrong button."

The standard procedure IS very easy. Push a wrong button? Can you give an example, or two, of what wrong button someone might have pushed to cause an issue?

Be careful becoming an expert at something just because you've done it with success before. $hit happens and it happens in the world regularly. There are no guarantees.

I've loaded tunes on my Touring, Sprint and TT600 with no problems, yet when I loaded a tune for a late friend on his approximately same year Touring as mine, it wouldn't load the first 5 tries. He wanted me to give up, but on the last try it took. Same laptop, same cable, I have no explanation, so I have to agree with Journeyman.
