Having a little issue so decided to check the coils primary came up 02.0 secondary 32.21 and the HT leads disconnected 4.25 which is what threw me i found the reference to the others but not the leads, all 3 coils hovered round the same any help much appreciated

A few thoughts, first, you never stated the reason you were looking at the coils in the first place. So I can’t say really if the.2 ohm over limit is really an issue. I doubt it is. Was the reading 0 when the two probes are touch to each other?
I state again, the most reported issue is loose connection(s) on the low tension side.
Jvheli thanks for bearing with me mate, I just checked the multimetre it was on the wrong setting when I googled how to go about the task they were all auto setting like yours I didn't know about zeroing it out either... Bloody rookie get the kettle on! Lol.
From the top I was on a 5 day run up north to Burma bike was pulling like a train the triumph symphony could be heard for miles around, heading back I stopped for fuel only had shell premium 95 I think with cleaning agents added. not my usall grade I use cheap gasohol 95 this is we're the fun starts rode 5km and bedded down for the night nxt morning soon as I fired it up almighty backfire the chickens didn't need plucking after that then as it warmed up it was like a gatling gun, got it back home emptied the tank fresh fuel took it for a run still the same took the injecters out #2&#3 injecters had alot of dirt in the filters, I know from old when I run out out of fuel it backfires plus it was missing around 1 1/2 to 2000rpm so I was pretty sure that was the culprit, as it's in pieces I decided to check the coils and leads only because the spark seems quite weak but its never been a problem, that's we're finicky raises his head bike is going great but I think it can go better and then I go and naff it up, appoligies to all I just wanted to try and cover my arse and keep it short and simple I thought the professionals would know when they saw my readings and they probably would have had

I got them right 😁

Most meters are a little off u can see that if u touch the probes together it will be like .3
Then in order to be correct u subtract the .3 from the 2 then u have 1.7 which is with in tollerance. hth
Well i typed this yesterday and it is still here so i will continue
If the backfires was through the throttle bodies then it is possible thst it blww off the rubber hoses from tbs to the map sensor or rubber caps on the tbs. This will make it run bad.

Firstly you just made my morning cheers, I put the metre back to the lower setting and touched the probes bingo it showed point 4 which leaves me bang in the middle at 1.6
Secondly it was backfiring through the exhaust I must add the problem is only there when idle and up to 2000rpm and occasionally on a hard excelleration will hesitate briefly and rolling off will backfire, all map hose's were intact, injecters are perfect just waiting to have them cleaned if that makes sense.
When ticking over exhaust is quiet briefly like it losing a cylinder then backfire wasn't sure whether it was being starved or electrical which resulted in me having a short lol thanks for the support

You stated you appear to have a lean condition up to 2000 rpms. Could you confirm that the engine ran well at higher speeds. Vacuum leaks typically manifest themselves in the lower rpm range. Could you double check the rubber vacuum caps (commonly referred to as squirrel condoms) on each of the throttle bodies for cracks or if they are missing. You stated the MAP hoses were good. Could you confirm the 3 MAP hoses from each throttle body running to the vacuum union and the sensor hose running to the MAP sensor are all attached also. Another item could be the fuel filter. If you did get a batch of bad gas, the filter should have caught all the dirt with virtually nothing getting into the injector screens. How old is the filter? You might want to change it. Usually a plugged filter would restrict higher engine speed (starving for fuel) but if the filter media has been compromised, that could explain the dirt getting to the injectors.

That's interesting🤔
Bike runs OK at high speed map hoses are relatively new as is the fuel filter I forgot to add there is good pressure at the fuel rail also as for the squirrel me thingies I had a spare in my bedside draw lol you know what they say about fellas with little feet... Well it ain't true! Thinking back around the time I put the injecters in a back street dyno knock shop type place the filters were not changed I know for a fact it only ever had an oil and air filter changed in its life until I got my hands on it all else is up to date including every 0 ring in the motor, so Im hoping that dirt in there was down to the last filter, like you say and it does sit well at high speed hopefully that ruled that out

Forgot to mention all spade connectors to coils cleaned crimped and greased
