Rear brake all soft and no fluid spills

My Rune does the same thing after a layup, way I prevent it is to tie a weight on to the rear brake lever . Front brake on the old rocket goes soft sometimes cable tie the front lever overnight solves the problem . Wondering if weighing the rear lever on the new rocket would solve the problem?

I need this re call done as i just found out about it and my rear brake need pumping a few times before it will work and that,s after bleeding . .I purchased the bike bike second hand from a dealer in England and as he was not a Triumph dealer but he got the bike serviced at a Triumph dealer prior to me getting it .No re call work done !! i phoned the dealer and he could not give me any reason why this work was not done .I spoke to the Triumph dealer in Glasgow and i was told Triumph fitted the wrong rear master cyilnder to my bike and it needs to be replaced along with fitting a spacer at the rear caliper which i have seen on newer Rockets .Now Triumph have never sent me a letter to say my bike is needing a re call even although its a saftey issue , i know that Yamaha and Suzuki do still send out letters to second owners informing them of saftey re calls i guess Triumph cant be arsed and are not bothered that customers could be running around on a bike with a defective rear brake .Its a six hour round trip for me to Glasgow and back and i could go to an official dealer an hour away from me but i would not trust them with a pedal bike let alone fixing a brake issue on a rocket .

I hear you- I do all of my own work, but for this recall you're going to have to take it in, unfortunately. Not really any other option.

There is also a fuse replacement that is another recall. I forget the details, but the dealer will know- get that while you're there. I waited 45 minutes for all of this to be done. Make an appointment and tell them you have to wait while they do it. Then, hopefully, never visit a dealership again. Good luck!

I’ve kept the bike in storage over winter and today I got around to taking it out and doing some service on it, oil etc.

What I noticed was that the rear brake has gone all soft, its as if there is no brake fluid in the system and at the same time I’ve not found any fluid spills/stains where the bike was parked over winter, and when Ipump the rear brake repeatedly it actually does bite and hold, anyone know what might be going on?

My 2016 Roadster. Same. Pump the pedal till you get pedal, have your wife hold it (assuming you have one or something that will work), crack the bleed valve. I did it three times, no noticeable air/ popping sound etc. Back to full pedal, level went down 1/8 inch in window, no need to add. Good luck.

Unfortunately, I've had the most recent recall done and my brakes are going soft again and sitting for a few weeks. I really don't think Triumph knows what's going on with the brakes or how to really fix the issue. It's been going on for 4 years now.

jmo i think that it is sucking in air through the seals.
someone said that you can (when they have been bleed and working good) hang a weight on the rear brake and just leave it there and it will keep the brakes working.
if you was to try this make sure the rear brake light does not stay on also if it is seals the one that is bad might leak and that would point to the problem.
