Living Legend
i didn't do any except try and be usefull, Malcy did all the hard work and Ponters did the rest.
Ken ... 14 hours in the saddleall those trucking years must of helped toughen the backside, I could have made it home by 630pm to day but why rush (maybe I'm just getting soft) so I have been taking the longer way around the coast and I will still end up in Lakes Entrance by 3 just in time for a dip in the motel pool, some dinner and a relaxing evening, then of to bed for a early start and I can still have lunch with my Loverly Ann at lunch time tomorrow
I would say 80 mph in the rain with traffic would indeed pucker the sphincter!
Yes indeed ,the Freeway is 3 lanes wide in a lot of the places and well drained ,normally I just cruise along, but to stop anywhere in the dark and rain is almost a death wish , there has been numerous fatalities from stationary vehicles being hit at night and rain on this stretch of road , if travelling slowly and being passed the amount of road grime laden spray is bad enough in a car but on a bike it will completely blind you for a few seconds ,so I just open up the bike and keep in front, long radius curves are not a problem at speed in the wet, stopping is another matter, no place for the faint hearted just go for it!
