RamAir & Wet or Rainy Conditions??

I live in Seattle area. I rode to work everyday from March 14 - July 6th. It rained every single day in March and April, exposed PX-600 filter (no bear claw, just foam open to the world and 3x the size of RAMAIR) zero issues with rain.

Lived in Hawaii and rode in any and all weather with RAMAIR fitted both with and without Bearclaw, no issues at all. That includes a life changing drenching climbing H3 at 30 mph because cars couldn't see anything, was like wtf people GO! lol.

I wash my bike, no bag, no issues.

Your motor will ingest a LOT of water before you have any issues, check out all the guys using water injection kits... or the new M4 BMW (has a water kit stock).

Ride on, nothing to worry about.

Is there a chance of water runnng into the cylinders if it's parked up and it pours during the night?

Interesting question, but since the intake is on the down side slope with the kickstand I would think not. I do not plan on running without the bear claw. I do try to remember to take a small cover for my seat and over the tank if I'm on a trip.

Look at your motorcycle, the tank shields the intake side and the bearclaw even more. As water rolls off the side of the tank its going to run straight down the tank behind the TBs and drip from there.

There is NO additional risk for water ingestion to the RAMAIR. Ride on, rest easy, its completely safe.

If the filter element becomes damaged due to humidity? Clean it, dry it and oil it up with the RamAir chemicals. Order another one. To put the whole thing back in is nuts. o_O Wanting to cut some of the BearClaw to let more cool air reach the filters.

Just cut mine on the weekend

How do you keep that from getting stolen out of the underground? the bike thieves have been having a great ole time lately removing bikes from condo undergrounds

+1

Coincides completely with all my experience in a twenty year Air Force career [airplanes can't pull over in the rain - and fortunately, don't need to]

Looks good, just the right amount of carbon fiber to highlight and blend in with the seat. Where did you get them?
The carbon Fibre trim on the radiator covers and bearclaw is 3M Dinoc carbon fiber that I did myself. Harder to work with cause its thick but it is heat resistant and super strong.
