RAMAIR Filters bespoke Rocket-3 underclaw filter.

I'd bet that "eating bugs and dust without a problem" refers more to performance impact than long term wear. It might be fine for track runs without a filter but for every day use? No way would I be risking it. There isn't a production bike or car or truck that runs without a filter of some sort. There's a reason for that.

I'd like to get rid of the silly stock air filter contraption on my bike just on general principles... will the Ramair give any power benefit for the R3T with the Power-tripp "tune" for stock bikes? Not planning on any exhaust changes at the moment (though if new Jardines were to be had for it I might...) - ie, will a simple adaptation reset and a 12-minute tune combined with the already modified map work well with a Ramair? Or would it require dyno work to be sure?

I'd like this answer too..... I have the TORS and the power Tripp tune installed on my 2014 R3T.

In addition to crofts question will I have to change the power Tripp tune if I install the RamAir kit?

Thats odd that Eric Carppenter would say they are too restrictive as when Nevill Lush tested them he said that they were quite good, shame there is not someone near you running a Ramair filter you could borrow so you could see for yourself if it was holding back the beast

That would be nice, but it would just be 'seat of pants' testing. As of now, my throttle is so touchy, it will take me some butt time to get used to it. I'm easing into all this power. Right now I'm looking at a Uni product (UP-4245) -three of these would be much cheaper and 'squish-fit' under the bear claw. I have been unable to find the part that Pete posted a picture of. Here's what I'm looking at:

the 12 min tune will only effect the the low as in very low throttle and L tables I would adjust the F tables by adding 5% if you are not sure how to do this I can help you, or simply highlight the whole "F trims" table you will then see a up/down arrow bottom right corner click the up arrow till you see a 5 in all the squares then go up to "Edit" and find "comit trims" make sure there is an tick next to the "use F trims for all F tables" and you have just added 5 % fuel to your F tables, I would suggest that you dont use more than 5% to start with as it should cover the extra air any further adjustments should be done by a Dyno guy

remember "squish fit" (squishing the filters is going to close some of the air holes in the sponge especially the rear filter so you will have uneven amount of air to all three filters where as with the Ramair all three cylinders have access to to same air flow) equals restriction to some degree there really is no real compromise you either let the air in as in exposed filter of suffer less air you may even find that by the time you "squish" the Uni's that they are not much better than the Ramair

Hanso;
I'll probably get in touch with you when and if I order the RamAir. Would that be okay? Because what you wrote didn't appear to be in English LOL :)

Let me see if I understand it a little.... With my current setup I need to modify the power Tripp tune manually a little via Tune ECU If I add the RamAir kit.
