RAMAIR Filters bespoke Rocket-3 underclaw filter.

That's the way I'm leaning as I prefer to leave the bear-claw on rather than remove it and need to relocate the coolant res. I rather like the look of the bear-claw as opposed to exposed filters. (Unless the RX 4040-1 K&N's fit under the claw)
Ha Ha ....sorry I had to laugh the RX 4040-1 filters stick out about 3 inches past where the b/claw sits, you have to cut most of the bear claw away

Are you running a Auto Tune on it? if not you may find it a tad richer then it needs to be if it was set up for running with out filters, if you were to add a Auto Tune module it will then follow the map in the PCV and correct the fuelling to suit having a filter on there

I wouldn't have a clue if I'm "running Auto Tune". I'm a complete rookie here. Is it an option on the PCV or a separate part or a separate map/program?

Yeah, after looking on Ebay, I figured as much. Glad I could humor you.

It is an additional module that plugs in to the PCV and operate from a wide band O2 sensor

My RamAir arrived today. First impressions on opening the box ...

  • The kit looks great. Contains all the clips / clamps / bolts etc needed to install the RamAir filter and the crankcase breather. Everything looks quality.
  • The installation instructions are very detailed; very clear; and easy to understand. It even tells you which hand to hold the hammer in. (well, not really - but very easy for a mechanical newb to follow)

I will give an update post-installation.
