RAMAIR Filters bespoke Rocket-3 underclaw filter.

do you oil this filter as you do the K&N?

NO - It does NOT use oil.

It comes pretreated with a sticky polymer. If you REALLY feel the need to retreat - GET RAMAIRS foam treatment.
But it'll flow about 3-5 times as much air than a K&N before it shows any sign of restriction - iirc - Just about all foam filters will.

I have received my Ramair today , for the future what do you clean them in and what product should you oil them with ?
. How's that decel pop?
You can get a cleaning kit from Ramair I'm told. Good luck fitting the Ramair it will want to pop of the throttle bodies if you do up the clamps too tight. I had to give the rubbers a good clean with petrol then push the filter home then leave it for a while. It still poped off a couple more times before it decided to stay there. I put 2 cable ties around it and the 2 tubes that run along the throttle bodies to make sure it stayed there. After about a week I nipped the clamps up a bit more. It's stayed on there but I think without the cable ties it would be off every time you look at it.

How often do you clean it with the Ramair foam treatment. you have to remove the unit completely to clean it proper don't you?

Is a custom ecu tune required after the install??

I'm planning on getting a set of TORS in the near future but not just yet. I've also heard that I cant actually do custom tunes on my ecu (2014 R3T) only Triumph approved ones

My mechanic at the dealership advised that the ecu tune Triumph provides for the TORS would suffice for the RamAir also.

Thoughts?

Going to breath a lot better with the Ramair, My 2012 R3R was running lean on the Triumph TORs tune with only the TORs on, my guess would be you are going to need a custom tune

I've heard my ECU on the 2014 won't allow custom tunes.... Anyone?

2014 R3R ecu is not locked... run whatever tune you want... tune ecu tunes for 2014 is by Vin number up to and then from certain numbers...
