Ramair filter arrived...

your using too much oil brother i dont have that problem
If it's proper foam filter Oil - that's also supposedly flame retardant - Too much oil (like adding additional goo to your pre-goo'd Ramair filter - - in y defence I didn't know it was pre-goo'd) just reduces airflow. Well until you rev the nuts off it and it sucks the oil in and blows it out the rear.

I was actually referring to fred and his K&N filters . Not the fire or the foam mate i even quoted his comment lol:rolleyes: ;)

Just waiting for a dyno test of this system before ordering. Seems great but seeming is not reality.
dont blame every one "seemed "to think the the 2780's were the duckguts and while for a std bike with std exhaust they are fine and even if fitted to a bike fitted with better exhaust and ridden calmly they were good but I found I could hear them struggling to suck air at higher RPM's whilst fanging thru my local Mtn playground, the K&N RX 4040-1's solved this for me and I like the HotRod look of the filters sticking out, also before it is asked they do not bother my knee postioning

Mine seem to get enough air . Not seeing any results here so far that will make
me change from my setup all I have Is the 2780 filters staintune and non equal length headers with cat removed and well my results are in my signiture

NO ONE HAS TESTED/TUNED THIS FILTER ON A DYNAMOMETER YET.
As a result, there is not enough information to answer your questions or develop a calibration change (map/tune) if it is needed.

We are really all waiting, Wayne. Will a simple foam over the intakes without velocity stacks be horsepower friendly? Man I DO hope so but I have to wonder why all the contortions we go through with intake mods. Plenums, stacks, etc. As I've posted before..I have my reservations but only the dyno knows.
I cant wait to see the dyno results.

Has anyone taken the stock intake system off and fitted the RAMAIR system and gone for a ride before doing any adjustments, I would like to know the results.

Jim the Auto Tune will automatically adjust the fueling so you won't be running lean and be able to notice any improvement, if that was why you asked the above question, if not disregard this
