Ramair filter arrived...

Malcy, I am just not having any luck stopping the RAMAIR coming off the throttle bodies, it will feel secure but as soon as I go for a ride the filter rides up and off the throttle bodies.
Does your throttle bodies have a small ridge around the outside for the filter tubes to fit over, that's where I seem to be having th problem?

Hopefully I have it right this time, I don't think I had the filter square on to the throttle bodies even though I thought I did. I went very carefully to make sure the filter was square on the bodies and was down evenly all the way around the bodies then tightened up the clamps a little at a time.
it appears it might be right this time. A good ride will tell.

Yep goodo mate, Just make sure that when you tighten the clamps they are at the lower edge of the rubber groove and that they do not want to twist up on one side as you tighten them up. I went back over mine several times in succession keeping an eye on them. As mentioned before and on the instructions, don't over tighten. Yes mine does have that small ridge around the body. After a while they will settle into place.

If you have triples or a Ramair it makes perfect sense to move it, especially if you have a cut or modified bear claw but even if it's intact. It blocks air flow to the front and besides, a grey plastic bottle is hardly the sort of thing you want on display.
