Ramair filter arrived...

Battersea, You should map the bike, any filter which removes the stock system is so far different it is not funny. I have tested this set up and out of courtesy am awaiting an email back from Dan at Ramair before posting results. As to the PCV pulling out fuel with the AT, it will pull out all your accelaration fuel, when you give it the berries. Thats why your map makes numbers on the A Tune. Results are good for the Ramair on a stock engine, good option for those who wish to retain the bearclaw on their bike. There is nothing wrong with a PC if set up well. Better to have a well set up PC than some dodgy tune from some one half way round the world, using different fuel, air filters etc etc.

How does Ramair compair to triple K&N's?

I'm making plans to get my bike on a dyno as soon as possible, unfortunately I haven't got a 'dyno God' (as Chris aptly calls them :D) anywhere near by. The nearest that can tune with TuneECU is 250 miles away and riding that far with an uncorrected tune is out of the question. So I will have to make a new runner for my trailer that will take a 240 tyre and shoot over in the car.

First I need to a load a base map and am thinking to use the oem 20222. The Classic oem is 20215 which has different values in the L tables from 3600rpm up, not sure why this restriction would be there - anyone know why or can see any reason to not use 20222 please.

You should have it mate, but will pm it anyway.

Bike is all standard Classic, I'm not chasing hp its quick enough as it is :p. Will have it dyno'd with the standard unrestricted tune loaded though.

If you can do something for Ramair/standard combo it would give me another option, thanks.

The tune I had in mind is a unrestricted tune for std exhaust cat delete and triple K&N's, but to ensure it is not going to be lean I will add 5 to 10% fuel so if any thing it may be a tad rich, your call I would suggest only 5% if you still run a std cat box

I went onto the RAMAIR website to order mine.

I should mention that RAMAIR did not see my email for a few days after the special offer expired but they were good enough to give me the special price and freight.

They also answered all my questions, good people as far as I can see.
