Ramair filter arrived...

Yes I think I will end up going this way. I will wait for the dyno results I'm not in a big rush. I'm working on a plan to get the gass's out quicker so will need something to get more air in when it comes time for dynotuning.

I have no doubt it would do a decent job and looks to be a fine replacement for stock and probably good substitute for K&Ns, which also fit under the bear claw. At the price I would expect it to offer something special and not be just another filter option. Look forward to seeing the reviews.

I think it's a dam good option over pods.
As not all like the bear claw mods.
I think I prefer the subtle mods over the in your face ones.

Fitted mine on Saturday & removed secondary baffles. Test ride gave good impressions, but today (Sunday) it was obvious that I have a huge increase in acceleration, with power to pull from 40mph in 5th gear to 70mph in under 2 seconds. The raw acceleration when overtaking is awesome & the sound is absolutely fantastic, at least to me the rider. The bike is running really well, my only concern is the AFR especially if its running lean,is there a big advantage to running a "Power Commander" or can a new MAP be enough to ensure a good ratio? I'm not well up on all this technology.

At least do 12 minute tune. Depending on which tune you have loaded, pulling out the secondaries could lean you up a fair bit so a remap might be in order - or a PCV or Dobeck.
