906lb with the SE package full fuel and gas!!

My list says 367Kg( 807Lb) for the Roadster and 395Kg(869Lb) for the Touring 28Kg difference I suppose these are dry weights but fuelled up the difference should still be simular 61or 62 LB SFA really

I wanted to know wet weight so I went to the public scale and had her weighed.

Fully dressed R3T, fog lamps,floor boards,rider and pillion, engine guards, saddle bag guards, larger windshield and mounting hardware, saddlebags and mounting hardware, double seat with luggage rack, it all starts to add up for the extra weight. Add 1 300lb rider, tour pack and whatever I have loaded up , I"m well over 1200lbs. Needless to say I got NOWHERE near 14000kms on my metz.

Its not...there is only around 35kg's difference

I got less than 6000 miles on the stock Metz. on mine and they were bald. Switched to Exedra Max and I got 7500 on the rear. Just changed out a Michelin Commander II after 19400 miles. Not sure what they do to these tires to make them last but they are all I will run from now on. I ride in eastern Ohio and WVa. Lots of twistys and the Michelin tires grip good. I run a 180/65/16 on the rear.

I'd try the AVON COBRA on my front a couple of years ago, no problem in dry, but rainy season, uh oh... my started to float, and no the water wasn't that deep just normal shower... slowed down 30km of limit when it rained..!! to scarey on front, for me, but then again i do run darkside on back..? lol

I know you're new here and all but are you seriously suggesting the Avon had anything to do with your handling problems when you have a bloody car tyre on the back. Get real mate.

You guys with 10,000 and 12,000 on Standards and Roadsters, 706 pound bikes versus 876 pound Touring will get better tire life. One hundred-seventy more and a longer wheelbase plus peak torque at a lower R.P.M. just could affect tire life even more. Just sayin'!

That's what's left on the stock Metzlers. I'm in Canada so I ride in a combo of hot and cold. I'm guessing that had a factor in their longevity.

I would say your tire management is outstanding.
My two Metzeler rears gave me 5200 and 6100 miles and were bald.
