IGET about 10,000 out the Metz and I dont baby my bike BUT you can burn up anytire if you try

I was disappointed in he Metz because the FRONT one was bad at 6,000 Miles, maybe it was a bad tire . Admittedly, I do ride hard.

I've always run Avons on my Harley. Matter of fact I hated the stock Dunlops so much that I pulled them off at 300 miles for Avons. I love the tire and plan on replacing my Metzlers with Avons. Maybe early too! Have 2800 miles on the Metzs and hate them. I figure why mess with success! Avons all the way baby!!!

I don't know how you got almost 9,000 Miles out of the Metz, I barely got 6,000 out of mine. the Excedra Max V rated radial I now have on the front has 10,000 Miles on it now. I haven't seen an Avon V rated radial to compare for the front. On the rear I have an Excedra Max V rated radial to match, the first one ran almost 8,000 Miles till I picked up a nail and replaced it. I hope to get more out of the present tire. The wet performance and overall have been very good with these tires. I have Tors and a Triumph tune on a 2009.

You guys use the complete radius of the tires and you will get more miles!

That's what's left on the stock Metzlers. I'm in Canada so I ride in a combo of hot and cold. I'm guessing that had a factor in their longevity.

Had driving lessons, I just like to use what's there and don't care about tire management! LOL P.S. I do care about tire maintenance, I won't run skins.
