Today Downloaded Power-Tripp's R3T stock or slip on special tune 20368 into my friend Bob's 2008 Touring.
Bob needed a full service since he is taking a long trip with it later this month. I offered to help him and retune his bike with TuneECU. Well we did the full service including removing the back wheel and the bevel box so we could moly paste the drive shaft splines, 30,000 miles on the bike and it had never been done. Splines looked great.
After getting all the dirty work done time to tune. The only changes to the engine/exhaust Bob has made is adding the PC3 and Touring TORs. He said his fuel mileage went way down after this mod to about 29 MPG. I test road his bike and found it is rather anemic. When I hooked up the TuneECU I found it had tune 20233. We downloaded Power-Tripp's special R3T tune 20368 that started off this thread. We made a few changes in the fan temp, top speed, max rpm and idle speed. WE did not get the green TPS light to come on even after doing the set adaptive and 12 minute tune. But the tune took anyway. You should have seen the grin on Bob's face when he came back from his test ride. I took it for a test ride after him. Oh yes it was different. NOT anemic anymore. Not as strong as my standard with the Dobeck Performance AFR Plus but definitely way better than it was this morning.
THANK YOU MR. POWER-TRIPP.
I need to ask about the TPS. We did the TPS test and found the volts at 60 and at 64. I thought it was supposed to be 60 then 70 or 72. What is correct for a Touring ? What harm does a 60/64 reading cause. How do I adjust it ?
