I'm in Kemptville, Cecil, another new member is coming out to my place Saturday morning so we can load the deristricting map onto his R3T, we both have the TORS on, if you want to come out and listen first hand, your welcome to, PM me if you want and I'll give you the address.

That would be awesome! I'll give you a message.

I've been waiting for Carpenter to get their redesigned exhaust ready for sale. Been going on 7 weeks and still no firm date on when they receive them. Supposed to be this month. After they receive them they have to be sent out to be plated. This after having my bike at a very well known custom fabricator here in the DFW area for 3mo. with basically nothing done on an exhaust system I was having built. I'm done waiting. Going to put a call into CES next week.

I think they are in stock now

My plan is to use Carpenter in the future regardless of what exhaust system I purchase. I will support businesses that bring out products to improve the funnest bike overall I've ever owned. Have you heard something I havent on the exhaust? My bike is sitting in the garage and I guess 1 more week wouldn't kill me.

Thanks everyone for the detailed info!
I am on the verge of making my decision for which way to go on my exhaust. I have the usb cable on order and will be applying the Power Tripp tune next week (excited about that). But then which way do I go on exhaust?

Here are what I'm considering:
- The TORS seem the easiest and cheapest. But if I want extra power down the road it is just throwing away money when I replace it
- The capenter exhaust is nice but I worry it won't be as shiny because it is polished steel instead of chromed steel (am I wrong here?). Also is the fact that it is not double walled a problem?
- D&D are really expensive in Canada

The biggest question I have yet to answer is, are the TORS loud enough? Does anyone have any sound samples of TORS vs D&D vs Carpenter, anyone have any thought of the volume of TORS? Obviously, the R3T will never sound like a Harley, and I don't want it to, but I do want to get more of a thump than I have stock, never met a bike that was too loud for me yet

I have polished stainless pipes on mine from Staintune, they are the performance exhaust with cat delete, the steel does change colour to a slight yellow and this is unavoidable due to heat. you can polish them and they come up great but there is maintenance to keep them pristine.
The sound I get out of the stain tune is great, although I haven't heard the others to compare. Very deep bark under acceleration.
just had it re-paned by Triumph dealer today and louder with more power. They just used the std tune from Triumph for open exhaust.
The Staintune pipes in ops retail for $1,600 and the tune was $60.
Good luck with whatever you choose...

If triumph just used their open exhaust tune, you should really try the power tripp download.

I was at Carpenter Racing 3 days ago. I believe that Bob is ready to take orders and make deliveries for the new design.

Do I need to have modified air intake such as Ramair or similar for this tune? or is std intake and Staintune exhaust ok for this tune?

Stock intake with or without K&N filter. There are some excellent folks on here that know a lot more than me concerning Power Tripps download. I've used it now for over a year and love it. On the way to work today, I forgot and made the mistake of poping the clutch a little to much. Front-end shot up in the air. Sweet......
Look at my info at bottom of this page.
