I have to say, I didn't click the box when I bought the bike. Figured "cruiser," meh, don't need it. Then when I realized how sporty this bike is, went back on had it fitted. Best mod ever! So much more fun. Something about short shifting a bike with 170lb/ft that just butters my bread )))))))) Do it brotha!
I'm getting a quickshifter installed on my GT sometime in the next week when the part comes in to the dealership. It'll cost 500-600 depending on labor time. I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it, but I shall see soon.
100% worth it. I paid I think around $500 had it done with the first service they gave me a deal. Worth every penny to me. Bike shifts like a dream and it's just really really fun, too!
I would say budget $500-$600. It's not just a bolt on they have to go into the ECU. I had a coupon and it was like $525 with that and tax but I also had my first service done so I can't remember the exact number. That first service is pretty steep. But they change out the drive oil too. I remember thinking it was the most I had ever paid for a service!!! But the quick shifter made the whole deal worth it.
Doesn't traction control automatically turn on for each ride and has to be manually turned off? Maybe the TSA turns off at low RPM with traction control on.

It means that the traction control is actively working to keep the wheel from spinning so it is activily reducing power from the engine. If you are riding with it on it will work just fine. Sliding sideways into a corner or white smoking the rear tire it isn't going to work.

I had mine fitted today and to be fair I’m not that impressed, it’s lumpy at best, bit of fun when punching it but I’d say it’s far from smooth, it’s enabled in the menus so unless the tech didn’t set it up correctly it’s not all that.

In addition to the menus it needs to be calibrated in the ecu. Chances are it’s not been done correctly. Mine is flawless and crisp. Can you describe what it does when shifting? It should be an effortless shift even at very low rpm. Sounds like perhaps you have an install issue. There are options in the ecu for force adjustments, cut duration and more.

Yeah it’s not smooth at all, with the throttle pinned you can feel it cut the ignition then hook the gear and it surges, down is better obviously with the speed matched, at slower speed it does the same but defo lurches into gear as opposed to slides in.
