Have you noticed any additional fuel consumption with the quick shift ?

And by the way, do you confirm that you can disconnect it ? Looks like it is possible when I look at the manual page 47 (though it seems secondary if one can still use the clutch (for every gear) while the quick shift is connected).

No fuel consumption change for me . It might contribute to a more aggressive riding because it is so fun to feel the hit if the shift but it is not a mandatory for use of the shifterit looks like you could cause it to be inactive in the settings but it is silly to do it since you can clutch it as always done on a motorcycle.

Not certain, but it feels like my fuel consumption is improved. But I agree, you are overthinking it

I'm getting a quickshifter installed on my GT sometime in the next week when the part comes in to the dealership. It'll cost 500-600 depending on labor time. I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it, but I shall see soon.

I have the older style quick shifter for my 12 Roadster.... It incorporates the left hand and left foot in coordination with the right hand. Works really well and is inexpensive.

I like that post but I will say, you can not equal the speed and effectiveness of this factory shifter modification.

While I like to use the QS for downshifting, because I’m lazy, there’s no point to the QS for upshifting unless you’re racing or just thrashing it on the street. That’s why it’s called a “quick” shifter. It’s not new either.
