Power socket on 2025 Rocket 3 (near handlebars)

Does anyone know if the DIN Adapter Cable, part number A9930600 which plugs into the power socket on the Triumph Rocket 3 and then into the Triumph Battery Optimizer also works with the Battery Tender brand charger? I just picked up the adapter cable which easily plugs into the matching pigtail on the battery tender however its not charging.

I was actually just researching what type of plug that port takes and in the process came to learn the port is isolated from the battery while the bike is off so a battery tender doesn’t actually work being connected there so that could be your issue

According to this document attached it seems like it is supposed to work whether the bike is on or off. See attached.

If you're plugging into the aux socket by the dash then it will not work, that's a switched socket. You need to buy (naturally) the additional aux socket that gets mounted just below the air filter box. There's a mounting position for it there & a plug (just gotta find it - blue tape) that plug & wire are permanently live & are where you plug in the battery tender.

Ok thanks. Geez you would think the dealer could have explained that. They didn’t know that which is why I purchased the DIN Adapter Cable, part number A9930600. Of course it’s useless for a battery tender if the socket has no power when the bike is off

If that wire was a little longer, you could’ve just snipped it, slapped on some terminals and gone directly to the battery. That’s how mine is hooked up and just dangles out the left side. I tuck it under the passenger foot peg when not in use. It sits up there nicely.
