Replaced rear @ 9800 , front still had some left. replaced front anyway at same time (was cupping) always ride 1 up >>(wife has her own bike) I check air VERY often !

Front is holding strong at 8200. Rear got a nail at 3 grand and was replaced. New rear has 5200 and looks good.

So far as riding habits, I don't do burnouts and rarely travel over 100. Not a ton of twisties either (don't know if that makes a difference).

I got 3600 mi. on the first metz. screw that 5200 miles on the Goodyear Eagle F1 and only 1/32" of tread wear. And the wheels on the Rocket go round and round:bch:

The friggin tire is gonna outlast the bike. That Firestine or Badyear or whatever it is has my name it.

Okay. What you going to do with the front? Stay Metz or go to something else like an Avon or Pirelli?

I guess I'm not doing bad. I have 5100 on the Metz and it's not showing any appreciable wear. I checked the poll and the majority of the pollsters replaced their Metz at 5K or less. I must ride like an old fart.

Front tire is holding up fine so far. I picked up a slight cup runnining at the recomended 32psi, but uped it to the 42 max and it seems to be getting a bit better now, the cup is going away. I think it will see 12000 mi. easy. So I still have time to think that out.

I have averaged a little less than 6k on each rear. At 23k I'm ready for my fourth replacement and the darkside has started to consume me. Ordered a Yokohama 245/50/16 that will be here Friday. I have replaced the front twice and am about due for another. I wear the front down to a wedge shape that makes the bike handle funny on the straights. Still plenty of tread in the middle.

I went tire searching earlier today. I can get the Eagle in a 245x50 R16 for $185.00 delivered. I'm thinking this winter I'll do the Gunshots dismount (Metabo) and mount the Eagle myself. If I can do tractor tires in the shop, I should be able to mount the Eagle. Nuth'in beats tire spoons and a sledge hammer. I've broken beads on tractor tires by driving the truck over the tire.

I'll double check clearance of my 225/50/r16 It may be about the max that can clear the stock shocks. 245 may squeek a little for the first couple hundred miles:D also the circumferance may be significantly larger the 225 measured about an inch less(79") than the worn metz (80")I removed.
