Plastic thing

This plastic thing fell out from my right front fork 2 weeks ago. Now done over 2000 miles without it and no problems. Is this something the Hinkley guys forgot to remove when assembling
the bike?

Stop ----park your bike and do not move it that plastic bit is the thingymajig which connects to the other thingymajig which in turn is connected to the last thingymajig

Not from one of the front seals is it???? probably not as you would see the leak.

The dust seal is black and doesn't look like that. Anything similar on the other side?

Isn't that a muffler bearing? Or is it a kanifflin pin ring protector?

You have a touring, it could be the plastic ring that keeps that chrome shroud from rubbing against the fork.
