Ordered a windshield -Must be getting old!

LOL... You are correct, I bought it... rode with it about two weeks off and on.. and, for me the Rocket was meant to go with the fly screen.. lol I knew if I posted a pic of my bike, I would be caught... lol It needs to go, and I need to raise funds to drag my VW trike out of my shop and get it on the road... :)
Ya, I couldn't pass it up. I wish you would've advertised here first. I would have offered $100 for just the hardware and you'd still have had both the screens to sell. Anyone bidding already has the hardware. I'm tempted on bidding and just selling the screens again but I don't know if I want to do that. Have 7 hours to decide I guess.

I don't think any of the screen look stupid.. There are some nice looking Rockets with full size screens.. I thought mine looked okay with the big Cee Bailey. I just could not get used to riding behind it.. The only bike I've ridden that I really enjoyed being behind the fairing is the Road Glide I had before I got the Rocket.. I've ridden thousands of miles on a Road King, and I didn't much care for that screen either..

I use shields on long trips because the "little man" on your chest keeps getting bigger the faster you go and it fags me out after a long days ride.
I use the roadster shield on trips and never have had any buffeting issues - even at 130mph.
My 2 cent theory is that your height has nothing to do with it. I be 5'11" but sit taller than most at 6'3" or more.
I find if the shield is too tall your body does not break the blow back from behind. I set my shields about 2" below eye height and find that at normal speed (70 - 85) the wind breaks over my helmet.
Try a little ride with no helmet and if your hair is blown forward the shield is too tall.
Just my unscientific thoughts and experience.

^^^first you gotta have hair....lol. I guess I could tape some streamers to the top of my Mellon...
On another note, today was the first time I rode with the fly screen, it does break a little wind off my chest but that's about it. That said, it's now off and the roadster screen is back on. Just gotta find the sweet spot where when I'm riding at highway speed and open my visor the back draft doesn't push my visor down. I know it's not too tall as it sits at about my chin level, easy to see over.

I do remember awhile back learning that after about 125 a single headlight breaks enough air to clear most of your helmet.

PLEASE send pix of streamers attached to bald head!!!!!!!!
