Are we sure they are going to make a new one and this isnt just a limited run of a modified rocket?

From a manufacturing standpoint it wouldn't really make sense to make this limited run of only 750 TFC machines. New engine, frame, and new tires all require a huge investment in design and manufacturing tools.

I've had my 2000 Fatboy for what will be 19 years in May and I doubt I'll ever sell it, but who knows. Mainly for sentimental reasons and frankly I'm not going to get much out of a 19 year old bike, especially with a used bike market totally flooded with Harley's. The one bike shop about 30 mins is one of those super dealers and has a football field sized used bike warehouse, where 90% of them are Harley's. That said, when I do ride the Fatboy I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. It's so d a m n anemic compared to the Rocket and handles like a school bus with a flat tire, which was the main reason I was exploring other bikes. Sure, it looks good, paint is still nice, along with the chromey crap, but that's it. It's good for those slow group charity rides with the wife. I've ridden and owned numerous bikes over the years, dirt, street, cruiser and sport and I have to say that the Rocket is hands down my favorite. For me its that perfect blend of power, comfort and handling in a power sport cruiser that is like nothing else on the market. I also get to piss off all my Harley friends! My friend with his CVO $$$ street glide doesn't even toy with me anymore to race at lights, but I just don't understand why not

I am a made in America all the way but; and its a big but. The Motor Co. has been behind the times way too long to keep me buying their overpriced bikes. I agree there is something about an H-D. Its the way they all leaked oil all over my garage floors. I too have owned several H-Ds, I had Softail that I had a boatload of money into when I purchased my 2011 R3R back in 2015. After purchasing the R3R I only put about 300 miles on the H-D. I sold it back in May last year and the new owner blew the motor in July. I am so glad I sold that piece of crap. I dont think I have owned anything, I mean anything I have had more fun with than this R3R. I can say that as of today I seriously doubt I will part with it. I am looking to add a full touring bike to my stable. But I am keeping the R3R. Hopefully Triumph pulls off a good looking 2021 or 2022 Rocket Tourer. I have sold bikes and cars in the past and regretted that decision. I know for certain I will regret selling this R3R. I have made it my own and it treats me right every time I ride it. Like Kojak says it is hands down the best bike I have owned and I crush my H-D buddies with this beast. Its just too fun.

Beautiful picture! Two additional things I just noticed. The plastic coolant overflow tank is visible just above the radiator. I guess you so could check the level from all angles! Vents on either side of the area between the tank and the front forks. Maybe intake entrance for the throttle bodies? I will be calling my favorite dealer, find a price and reserve the one with serial number 666. This way I can have a one of a kind Triumph Rocket3 Diaval! Get it, like the Ducati Diavel only a lot more Devilish.

I hear you Rick, I make every effort to buy made in America as well. I also agree the Motor Co has failed miserably to keep up with technology. They had a great motor in the VROD and they had the opportunity to move that into other models, like the street glide or road king. What a difference the VROD motor would have made in those bikes. The former CEO Keith Wandell didn't help matters. He was a golfer, not a rider and he couldn't understand why anyone would want sport bikes or why Harley should be involved in racing. They killed the Buell deal, which was just stupid and put all their focus back into big cruisers. Just more of the same and the never ending effort to keep the old pushrod twin ticking to satisfy the purists. I rode a VROD 2 years back as it was a consideration before the Rocket and I did like that bike, though the handling isn't great but can be easily improved upon with some mods. The big problem I had with the VROD was that it is utterly useless for 2UP riding and a "sorry honey" is not going to get it done, lol. We'll see how they fare with the new bikes, lots of newer looking things coming out of the Motor Co to temp the Millennial's but they might be too late. Only time will tell. I do think the $30k electric bike that has only a 110 mile range is purely absurd.

Noticed the same. There’s a glimpse in one of the photos. No bear claw and looks like the air box or at least a plenum is roughly in the spot where the oil tank is now.
