Hmmm I'm not a expert but it took 500 miles to become out of round? So the tire wasn't out of round to start with? That screams check some things out to me.
On my 1190 it was obvious from the start the front Continental was out of round.
That said, I imagine if the issue is the tire delaminating it could take some miles to make itself known.
I have, of course, asked them to fully test ride it. If need be check the rear also. We are going out to dinner tonight with the service writer and his wife so we’ll talk about it. I told you all we are friends with this bunch.
My 2010 Touring had terrible headshake if you let go of the bars, the dealer was really helpful, he said yeah, they just do that, don't let go of the bars. After I ditched the Metzzlers, no issues.

I had an issue with my 12 Roadster, and the service manager said don't let go of the bars. I gave him a talk that Samuel L Jackson would have been proud of. Went home and tightened the head stock nut, and the shake went away.
Agree completely. Defective tires usually delaminate over time, leading to a progressively worse vibration issue until a bulge, wobble in the tread, or burst tire, etc takes place. Wasn't there a recall issue with some of the Avons on the new R3???
