I had them do my 600mi service and since my clutch judder problem that appeared around 800mi has been remedied now I went in for another oil change at 2800mi just in case there might be stuff floating around in there and if there was something weird about the oil coming out there could be no argument. So now I'm looking to buy the same oil online since I'm going to do them myself from now on as I usually would and in the process came to find out that the sacred BMW Advantec Pro oil they use is actually semi-synthetic (It does not state that on the bottle) which is within spec. Had I not looked it up I would not have known. I had never intended to actually go 10K between oil changes because that's just crazy so going forward I'll be using Amsoil full synthetic. The dealer had 3 crush washers left after the service department got theirs and I'll order some more for future along with filters.
The point I'm trying to make. the long way around obviously, is that next time someone gets the idea that it'll be easier to just take it in and have them do it, it's not. My dealer is 60mi away and I spent a total of 5hrs and money I could have put into my tire fund.

havent been to dealer since first service, and Triumph is releasing its own brand engine oil and lubes, next month gonna be available for order AFAIK

I've been checking my oil level religiously since I got the bike in February and when I checked it this morning, after yesterday's dealer visit, it was 1/4 up the cross hatch so they probably didn't want to open another bottle to bring it to half way. A little over 100ml did the trick and my beast and I are happy.

Triumph might offer a "special" Rocket oil at a premium price , and I'll take back even considering Amsoil because as @wjb indicated it has only been recommended to me personally by members of the motorcycling community who exhibit strange cult like behavior surrounding their precious brand of bike so I tend to agree.
