Mained to ride!
Well I finally got to the bottom of the howling. Wounded cat under the rear fendor! Well that's what it sounded like anyways.
I had to get rid of my windshield, just not for me, love the wind up against me and in my face. I had the lowers mounted at well to reduce the turbulence from the windshield, which it did nicely. After removing the windshield I kept the lowers on, if for no other reason, rain protection. Well they turned out to be great bug collectors, so off that came. Kept the mounts on the forks for a month or so, that got buggy too, so off they came. And so did the howling, it was the lower mounting brackets that sang when in a turn leaning over. Since removal, haven't heard a peep.
Just thought I would let you know how things ended up.
