Ducats are WAY over square motors, nothing new there, thus they actually make power.

As Art posted, it's really not a cruiser at all, and even Ducati has acknowledged that fact with the release of the xdiavel and rebranding of the Diavel.

It's a standard, by all defenitions of what a standard is, both steering geometry and rider triangle.

That said, they are fantastic urban assault bikes, to go hooligan it up. Far more flick able than any cruiser, yet comfy for those who don't like being in a fetal position. What I don't get is how the Diavel and Streetfighter, we're green lighted by DucatI at nearly the same time and sit square in the same market space.

MY problem with those bikes is they are not a comfy ride and not a bike to tour with a passenger and what is an assault bike are you going to assault urban communities I know one thing if you think your a badass owning one of those your going to be embarassed when a real sport bike assaults you and leaves you in the dust and Ive seen that happen so far the Diavel owners dont try and mess with the faster bikes I think they know better and same goes for the STREETFIGHTER

To add, Ducati's in general are inferior to the products of their competition, street or track. They really have no objective, tangible metric by which they are superior, except price

Sam misses his Rocket and the sad facts is that there's nothing else like it in the world of motorcycling, so good luck trying to convince others in the know that there are.

art have you ridden the Xdiavel yet or are your referring the the diavel that's been out since 2011

YES I tested the old one years ago and the new one is also different but the same and not what I want as it is not a cruiser its a pain in the ASS Ducati do you want to put up with Ducati dealers I know I dont They are not a comfy bike it is a clown bike or street fighter good if your a tattooed purple haired head banger with piercings but I dont like it I would buy a KAW ZX14R abs for $8000 less that can do everything better than that bike SAM look at the Zx14

I agree "if" I was after a sports type of bike I would go for a ZX14R or more so a Busa both are true superbikes no doubts and with the bullet proof reputation and relatively cheap, from personal observation Ducati's are like Elephants nice to look at but no fun to own,

NOW the ZX14 is one step up on the BUSA I get to ride all of them the Ducati cant compete with the 14 or any of the big bore sport bikes SAME goes for that KTM SUPER DUKE 1290 its faster than the Diavel but not close to a ZX14
