Thanks for all the replies you guys. By the way the minister just got engaged, she was not only hot but a sweetheart.

No I haven't and won't buy one without a test ride. I've never ridden a bike with a sidecar and I am sure power will be low with only a 750 twin and all that extra weight. But I won't be looking for speed with this bike, looking for something I can ride on snow days and carry lots of camping gear.
WELL that new VICTORY OCTANE thats the new world beater they have been bragging about has 104 HP and 76 TRQ at the crank is 1200 CC its the most powerful and fastest Quickest bike ever for VICTORY 12 second 1/4 mile 0 to 60 in 4 seconds and sells for $10,500 UH not to exciting and not up to all the hype and certainly not anywhere near being bigger engined and faster than the ROCKET ?

Lol yeah, read about the Octane yesterday too. It's a decent bike for the cost I'd say, but like the vrod, more hype than content.

THAT was a real letdown the V rod will beat that thing so what are they bragging about ? maybe its the price ? I would rather have a new THRUXTON or one of the other 1200 Triumph twins . Victory and Indian they dont make anything I would buy I dont like the looks of any of the Indians or the Victorys Im tired of all those V twins that dont make serious HP or do anything else outstanding just the same old boring DONKEYS I watch the Harley owners trying to get more HP spending 15 to 30,000 dollars and they cant make 110 HP its amazing what some of them have spent some over $100,000 and still working on thoseb things

Comes down to basic engine dimensions. Twin builders generally are unwilling to go very far oversquare, as a result, no amount of money will ever ever ever EVER get good power when compared to an oversquare 3 or 4 cylinder in a similar state of tune. V-Rod being the best known exception, and it's not an American design lol.

Refuse to adapt, die slowly as you get more and more obsolete....

I would like to see a highly oversquare opposing 6, revving somewhere around 10k, high compression, dual plug, direct injection, variable valve timed, DOHC motor at or above 2liters. THAT would get me off an R3 and onto a different bike.

Well I have to agree with you there 100% Art.
I was out at the local pub yesterday, about 15 miles up in the hills out back here.
A whole heard of Harley's turned up, about 30 of them, most of 'em strutting around like they were Gods of power.
I went out to the parking lot to see if there was any Triumphs amoungst them, and here's all these Hot Rod V Twins, Hmmm boring.
It so hard to be humble when ya ride a Rocket :D

I spent an hour on one of those and its not a comfy cruiser its an underpowered sportbike with higher bars and Id rather ride a ZX14 that has all the gadgets and does everything better and will leave that thing for dead as it has over 200 HP and a fairing and its $5000.00 less
