New Tire

I took my bike to a shop to get a new rear tire the other day. The guys there were pretty much Harley guys...needless to say I let one of them ride my bike after the tire was mounted. He came back and told me that my bike had alot of torque but it wasn't quick. He even offered to race me on a stock Harley. I guess he didn't open it up much or something. I don't have much trouble keeping up with the Harleys...maybe he knows something I don't.

A buddy of mine in Ohio rides a Screamin Eagle package Road King and I only looked at his tail light once and that was when he took off unexpectedly, lasted two gears.

Shoulda took him up on his offer.. I get that on occaision too at the local bike night.. but I always agree.. Loop 1604 is right there... we can run to the next exit.. or all the way around.. But then they always have some kind of excuse.. I've only raced one bike flat out.. and that was a ZX-14.. I got him off the line too, until I hit 3rd gear.. and then he was gone!.. lol

I hate it when that happens. I pulled the ol' Harley jump start on my son with his zx-14, I lasted to almost fouth before he was gone. And I think he told me that he was trying to get a bug out of his helmet the whole way. **** smart a$$.
