I have an '05 also. I might get flamed for saying it but from what I read on forums it would be best to do as few red line shifts from first to second as possible. Later models had an updated, stronger transmission. Other than that the '05 seems to be as good as any other year. Just keep the final drive greased, and the fluids changed. Maybe someone will chime in that they have slammed the 1-2 shift a zillion times at 6500 rpm with no problems and now they have 100k miles.
