Well my Suburban registration is due at end of month - $85
So, of course I have to get it inspected to be able to re-new the registration - $7
Well my abs light is on, on the dash - plug in OBD & it says left abs sensor out - $60.00
Replaced it myself :) & off to get inspection........... WEEEEEEEEEELL, the Fockin high mount third brake light is out! No 1157 bulb to replace.... NO - LED Strip, replace assembly - $172
YEA! Starting this year, in Texas anyway, it won't pass inspection if high mount brake light is out!!

$324 for a registration.......... brought to you by the same group of people that have figured out how we should pay taxes and insurance :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

OH NO!!!
EVEN TEXAS is falling to the libtards?!?!?

Yeah!:(
From 01July2017 new national adult minimum wage is $18.29 (US$14.50) an hour.
The new national minimum wage is $694.90 (US$551) per week.

But we still have penalty (actually bonus) rates for Sat 150%, Sun 200% and Public Holidays 250% and 4 weeks annual holiday and 2 weeks sick leave for fulltime workers and proportional for part time permanent.Casuals get a flat 15% on top of these rates in recompense for loss of holiday and sick pay. There are also 10-15% penalty for night shifts But these penalties are being reduced for Sundays and the 12 annual Public Holidays at the moment to Sat rates over a 3 year phase in for Hospitality, Retail and some other workers. Nurses , Police and ambulance etc are not having these rates reduced yet.

US citizens would freak at the cost of living here though with rents in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra $500 and up a week for a house and $400 for a 2 bedroom unit. Much cheaper in regional areas but many more jobs there on or not much more than min. wage and high unemployment.

Last year they jumped up the minimum wage in Seattle to $15/ hour and already now they find jobs are dwindling!

M8,
OUCH!!!
That there sux huge!

Our rego costs include Compulsory No fault 3rd party personal injury insurance which actually also covers you too. Like the US it varies by State but here in Canberra ACT it is about AU$1200 for a large sedan/wagon (over 1500kg) and AU$1000 for a small one. AU$700 for a Rocket (over 600cc) and less for under 600cc bikes.

Plus we have free universal healthcare for doctors and hospitals as a public patient, including surgery, specialists, imagery and pathology, but waiting lists for elective surgery (non life threatening surgery may be a 3months to a year). If you choose to go to a Dr who does not bulkbill the Govt , you pay an additional fee (mine is Au$50) on top of the Govt rebate of about Au$35 for his AU$85 fee for consultation up to 20min, AU$120 over 20min. Australia's health system just dropped to 2nd in the world for advanced democracies after UK now. USA's ranked last in the world:thumbsdown:.

We get hit with additional tax of about 2% if we do not have Private hospital cover too, but only if you earn more than AU$80,000. Average wages/salary in Oz is about that AU$75-80 K now. Health cover is very rarely or NEVER provided with employment except military and O'seas service like diplomatic staff. Private hospital cover is virtually never gap free but nothing like the deductible excess you guys have.

Wait...McDonalds and the other hamburger joints have robots coming to cook and kiosks in the front to order from. The whole thing is gonna completely backfire on these stupid "politicians".

Ish,
I, for one, want ABSOLUTELY NO PART of all that here in the USA!
However, I feel its being rammed down our throat anyway!

Yeah, screw traffic safety, amirite? Let anyone drive any unsafe piece of crap without brake lights or safety inspections, I say. What could go wrong? I mean, us motorcyclists are indestructible in crashes with unsafe cars, so it's no danger to anyone.
