New law for passenger vehicles :/

Yea, I really was just surprised that for all my driving years, all a car/truck needed to be legal was two brake lights. As long as there have been a high mount third light on cars it wasn't necessary to pass inspection. Oh but some dikchead woke up one n said shat! Look at the $$$$ we could make by adding that to the inspection list!!!!
My suburban is an 03 model. From 2000-2006 they are bad about going out. So I left the inspection place, which is about 2 miles from work. By the time I got back to work I saw 3 other suburbans or Tahoes with brake light on n third light not working. Out of 40 people that I work with 1 other guy and one lady's husband both have third light out on their Tahoes.
For sure someone at the DMV figured that out as a way to rape our $$$$$ :banghead:

Only poor folks would take a job paying that little ;)

Yeah!:(
From 01July2017 new national adult minimum wage is $18.29 (US$14.50) an hour.
The new national minimum wage is $694.90 (US$551) per week.

But we still have penalty (actually bonus) rates for Sat 150%, Sun 200% and Public Holidays 250% and 4 weeks annual holiday and 2 weeks sick leave for fulltime workers and proportional for part time permanent.Casuals get a flat 15% on top of these rates in recompense for loss of holiday and sick pay. There are also 10-15% penalty for night shifts But these penalties are being reduced for Sundays and the 12 annual Public Holidays at the moment to Sat rates over a 3 year phase in for Hospitality, Retail and some other workers. Nurses , Police and ambulance etc are not having these rates reduced yet.

US citizens would freak at the cost of living here though with rents in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra $500 and up a week for a house and $400 for a 2 bedroom unit. Much cheaper in regional areas but many more jobs there on or not much more than min. wage and high unemployment.

Actually your rents are cheap.....1100us for two bedrooms in the city near me. I do see other of your expenses are really high however. I reckon the rents have to be cheap so you can pay for all the other crap!

Ya, but do you have to pay $650 per month for a $10,000 dollar deductible health insurance plan even if you're in perfect health and never had a claim? Just saying....

We already know the answer to that one. We get fvcked on healthcare here. Last plan I had $6500 deductible before they paid anything. I don't even buy it anymore. And for not buying it I get a penalty on my income tax. They get you coming and going!

Replaced it myself :) & off to get inspection........... WEEEEEEEEEELL, the Fockin high mount third brake light is out! No 1157 bulb to replace.... NO - LED Strip, replace assembly - $172
YEA! Starting this year, in Texas anyway, it won't pass inspection if high mount brake light is out!!

No inspections and you do not want to know what I pay for the annual registration for Pickup ,Fiat. Harley and Rocket. Lets just say with what you spent on registration for one vehicle I spend on all four plus dinner. Keep supporting the local casinos. (CREEK NATION):cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: Referring to the $85 dollars.:p:p:p:p:p:p:p
